About Us

Kitamu is the creation of chef Yasmin Charania, who has been catering for a number of years serving East African cuisine .

Family cooked food inspired by Yasmin’s exploration of East African food scene as a youth, she grew up in Uganda where she learn how to cook all the culinary dishes you see on the menus we service at Kitamu.

Over the years, more and more people wanted to try the East African dishes she creates and therefore, persued her ambition to provide these tasty dishes.

At Kitamu, we love to get creative and explore the potentials of each cuisine whilst remaining true to their origins, respecting the people and places that are our muse.
